It truly is a new day

It is hard to beleive, but the Summer GM of the Elkhorn Baseball Blog has forced Hugh Glove to go his own way and create a blog for his fans, family, and friends. "This truly isn't the way I wanted to go" a perplexed Hugh Glove said when asked earlier this week. "I just can't get my head around a few points the Summer GM has made this year, first I get moved from the #4 hitting postion (I guess only getting out once up to that point was the reason) and then I lose the short stop position to a better looking younger guy!" That was all Hugh could take, but to top it off the Summer GM wouldn't allow Hugh to post any pictures on the site and eventually led to this new Blog.

Hugh says this is just a start up and if he can see that folks want the site, then he'll continue to update you on his comings and goings. Until then, enjoy and don't forget to visit the Elkhorn Blog every now and then.

Thomas Magnum, are you still "living" with Rick Wright?
Do you still have that sporty red 308 GTS Ferrari?
How's Higgin's doing?

We need more info posted on your beautiful blog.

Hey Tom,
DO you remember me? I don't really care how you handle you're balls in the field but happy to hear about your glove size. There are so many other ways to play ball! You are proving that in so many creative and fulfilling ways. Until our next rendevous!
- You're biggest fan.

Hi Fan,

So great to hear from you again Craig (ooopss) I mean fan. I'm sure you are still quivering over the fact that your loonies touched my quarters as our friend Ron D likes to say, and come to think of it refer to often!

Anyway fan, feel free to leave your comments, I appreciate them and I appreciate REAL fans like you. I just wish the Summer GM was more like you!

All the best, Hugh (AKA Magnum) Glove

I just wanna know, who was Robin Masters?

I think it was Higgins, but need Magnum P.U. to tell us.

Are you saying that I don't deserve to be there?

Hey Rob the short stop...

You know it's times like these that I reflect upon my colorful career remember how it was for me moving up the ranks and getting my first chance in the big (beer) leagues and all. I remember "vividly" how an older fella, with much more experience at the time and and impressive game to boot, put his "metaphorical" arm around me and said, "listen here youngster...you need to stop worrying so much about your shortcomings and remember just how HUGE you are in this game" (hence the nic name that hasn't escaped me). Well it was those words that changed everything for me...so I want to pass along that little tidbit from my past onto you and let you know that that fella was no other that the MAGNUM 'Mr. Baseball' himself, Tom Selleck, and this all happened a few decades ago at spring training...

So, keep your chin up you good looking, excellent fielding, and hard hitting young man, you'll get your chance!

Dear Kelly,

I am totally flattered with your comments and those of many of my fans. I can't tell you how comments such as yours make me feel as I'm getting on in years! It does a lot for a persons self esteem and even Hugh Glove and my Buddy Magnum have our periods of weakness and need a boost. So all I can say to you is "right back at ya"!

Having said that, I think it is extremely important for you to know that I am very-married...meaning I am married to the most amazing woman and wouldn't change it for the world!

Almost forgot about the Summer GM...

Robin Masters was also known as Dick Grayson: Former carnival trapeze artist who became Batman's youthful crime-fighting sidekick! Due to his partner's wealth he was able to create another crime fighting P.I. and funded his long time friend (they met at the circus years earlier) Tom Magnum's company...Magnum P.I.

Everyone knows this!!!

Dear Hugh,
The Red Bull really worked for you last night. I just ordered a case. Good work!

My biggest fan...you are on the money on that one...the last time my heart raced like that it was watching Tom Magnum give snorkeling lessons to that beauty. You know the one!

Anyway, I really appreciate the uplifting support Bigget Fan, now if the Summer GM could just get control of his anger, we might be able to win a game instead of the resulting tie last night due to his obvious shortcomings as a manager. The UMP (AKA Mr. Furley) had it wrong and it sure would have worked in our favor if the Summer GM wuld have kicked up the storm he held over all of our heads during the game. And...that storm happened well before he got into the Red Bull!

All the best biggest fan!
